How much does it cost?
The Quote Calculator is only intended as a guide to the total cost of the build. I don't stock any parts and order them in for each build from online stores (although I'm offering a limited service at the moment, see below). The prices are from online bike stores such as cyclebasket.com and sjscycles.co.uk

Service Changes – 17/10/2009
Due to increased demand and time constraints I have made some changes to the services I offer. Since April I wasn't offering to source parts at all but now I'm offering that service once more. It will however be a limited service at no extra cost which may be a bit slow.

- black spokes if you can supply them or my suppliers have the lengths needed
Black Spokes – 17/10/2009
During the course of 2008 I have had many requests for black spokes. My main suppliers, cyclebasket.com and sjscycles.co.uk only have a narrow range of black spokes in stock and often not the length required for the build. I will order black spokes for you if the above suppliers have the required length in stock.
The 100 mile Guarantee

When a newly built wheel leaves my place in your hands it comes with the 100 mile guarantee. If anything goes wrong with it or it is defective in any way during the first one hundred miles of riding then you can have your money back or I’ll fix it for free.
A hundred miles is not very far and I usually cycle that much in a week. So this is more of a DOA guarantee. If it turns to a pringle during that first week then I’ve done a bad job and I will rectify it.
What can I do?
I can offer radial, one–cross, two–cross, three–cross and four–cross. I also offer crow’s foot and hybrid crow’s foot lacing. It’s always better to get a new rim if you budget permits rather than use an old one as it’s the part that takes the most stress.
I can make new wheels from scratch, repair damaged ones or rebuild existing wheels. If the rim is slightly out of true then it can be made true. If it’s looking closer to a pringle then it’s better to get a new rim.
You can provide me with the parts (rim, spokes, rimtape, hub and nipples) and I will assemble them for you. Or you can ask me to source the parts, order them and build. Local collection is from South East London.
Queueing System
When I have a number of orders at the same time I will build the wheels on a first come first served basis. I will tell you where you are in the queue and expected turnaround time. If you need your wheels built urgently then you can jump to the front of the queue for an extra £3.00
You can pay with Paypal online, cash or with a personal cheque or via bank transfer.
Email me with the link below and ask for a quote if you want me to source parts and build as well. I don’t have any of the parts at home so have to order them which of course adds to the the turnaround time. The typical turnaround time is about 10 days from the time you place your order to the time you have the wheel in your hand. See the table below for some typical prices (August 2006).
